Flash Demos
With all the debate going on at the moment with regard to HTML5 replacing Flash, it seemed appropriate to make this year’s April Fools joke a play on that very idea. We hope you weren’t too shocked to see the front page today.

Today's front page
Over the last year, it has been clear to me that the popularity of Canvas has increased pheonominally. It used to be that I would have to search for new canvas demos, now I have a pile of submissions queued up for posting. And this website has gone from a few visitors to over 700 people a day interested in Canvas.
But that doesn’t mean that Flash is going anywhere either. HTML5 (and canvas) still has a long way to go, mainly in terms of browser support and performance. As much as we hate to admit it until Internet Explorer sorts its game out, the majority of HTML5 developers are sitting on the benches in terms of possible HTML5 client deliverables.
The futures bright – but let’s not ditch Flash yet. Until next year, April Fools!

Good one. That was better than Google’s April Fools joke this year.
