EtchaPhysics

EtchaPhysics by Matt Pelham is a gesture-enabled physics game using HTML5 Canvas.

Solve each level by drawing, moving and pinning objects you create. You can draw lines and shapes such as triangles, rectangles, circles, stars and spirals (by pressing the D key); move objects already on the playing field (by pressing M) and pin objects together (by pressing the P key).

A clever, but diifficult game

Hint: the MOVE tool is your friend.

Comments from the Author:

Classic Etcha-Like functions like “Shake-To-Clear” and “Dial-To-Draw” coupled with a touch and gesture-enabled drawing interface create an addictive and classically fun environment. Sound Effects, Rotation-Based Gravity, and Snapshots round out the fun-factor. Now with 15+ addicting levels, 10 unique game-modes, and iPod Touch / iPhone support!

Solutions to the first few levels:

Level 1
Use the move tool to aim the circle at the center of the star. You’ll need to aim beyond the star the move the right distance.

Level 2
Just a small movement on to the grass will make the ball reach the hole.

Level 3
Do nothing.

Level 4
Move the ball through the pins with a fair amount of power.

Level 5
You need to move the drawbridge with some effort to lower it. Then aim the ball at the second spire’s roof to make the jump and hit the star.

Level 6
Pulling the loose boxes down will help clear the way. Once the one on the right is pulled, move your circle on to it, then pull the other. Then draw a ramp.

The rest is up to you!

VERY VERY slow on firefox 3.6. much slower than I would expect flash to be with physics. I have seen Box 2d flash demos that are at minimum 3-4 times faster than this, easily. Eats 1 fll core CPU on my Pentium E2160 (1.83 GHz), 3GB of RAM.

But the loading is a bit odd. Some times it does not work. But when I refresh the web site it works.

It seems that the website is down. All I can see is a generic domain parking page.
