Canvas Invaders
In 1978 Space Invaders was released in to arcades everywhere, now it has been remade as a canvas game as yet another demonstration of what some brief knowledge of canvas can do.
Old school space shooter
Controls are simple, with the cursor keys providing left and right directional movement and the space bar responsible for shooting those pesky aliens out of the sky!

Cool Thing!
When you are moving and hold space down you can trigger something like ‘autofire’. I’m not sure if that was intension or if it’s a bug. ( happened here using windows xp, Firefox 3.6)
But still, great stuff!

Looks great. Crazy repeater fire makes removal of invaders a bit trivial. No sound or bases for me.

Worked alright on Chromium daily build on linux. It was unplayable on firefox 3.6.8. Too slow. (I’m running on old hardware)
