JSGB

We’ve previously featured a canvas emulator for Spectrum and NES – well, here’s another for the original Gameboy – this time created by Pedro Ladaria. JSGB contains the emulator and a debugger, and plays many commercial games. It uses the canvas tag for displaying graphics on scanline basis using putimagedata().

Man I miss the original Gameboy… in all it’s clunky, poor contrast ratio, battery hungry glory.

Interestin how it runs faster on Chrome. Any special reason? It doesn’t seems like Chrome has any kind of hardware acceleration.

Seems to run fine for me in Opera, I haven’t tested all the games but I encountered no bugs or slow down.
