3D Model Viewer

3D Model Viewer by Giuseppe Sicari uses a combination of JavaScript and canvas to display models of three-dimensional objects which are represented by a list of vertices and a set of faces each of which consists of at least three vertices.

The viewer allows you to rotate the object; fill the object with a colour; set transparency and add a motion blur effect.

Simon Fuchs

Hello Giuseppe Sicari,

My name is Simon Fuchs, I am a Media and Web Designer currently diving into JavaScript. But I’m still a noob at it. Your model viewer is awesome. Really fascinating! I’m looking for a way to display the information of a 3-D Structure of connected Elements related to each other and having different weight (possibly shown in color and size of the node). The connection of the nodes (how long and the direction of the vector) is defined by an algorithm. Maximum nodes to be shown is 8 million. That would be the maximum zoom out level. And it should rotate just like your model. My question is how much RAM this would take and if the nodes could carry data and respond to database-changes?

All the best,

Simon

I’m not sure exactly why but this web site is loading incredibly slow for me.
Is anyone else having this problem or is it a problem on my end?
I’ll check back lateer and see if the problem stijll exists.
